PARENT'S GUIDELINES

In order to secure all that is best in the education of your child, maximum co-operation between parents and the School authorities is desired. Hence parents/guardians are expected to co-operate with the School authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline, by seeing that they prepare their lessons daily, come to School in time, wear a neat and clean uniform, and take an active interest in the activities of the School.

Occasional reports about the conduct and application of your child will be sent to you by the teachers through this Handbook. We request you to look into this book every day, sign the remarks, and see that the lessons and home-work assigned for the next day are completed.

Students attending School without a leave note, repeatedly coming late, forgetting to bring books or diary, or coming without the proper uniform will be subject to disciplinary action.

Parents are required to sign the Report Card and any other similar official document relating to their children promptly when requested.

Tuitions are strongly discouraged. Parents who seek admission in this School and look out for tutors are taking a risk as they will depend on the sincerity of the tutors. Do not approach the School teachers for private tuition. Parents who have no time to give personal attention to their child/children should reconsider continuing their children in this School.

Parents, guardians, or visitors are not allowed to see students or interview their teachers during School hours without prior sanction from the Principal. They are requested to attend Parent-Teacher Meetings when arranged.

Criticism of the teachers or School in the presence of the student should be studiously avoided because it causes them to lose respect for their teachers with a consequent failure to learn from them. Should a parent have a legitimate complaint, it may be brought directly to the notice of the Principal.

Absence from School even for one day must be supported by a leave letter from the parent or guardian. Application for medical leave for more than 2 days should be accompanied by a medical certificate by an M.B.B.S doctor. If leave continues for more than seven days, the Principal must be intimated in writing. All applications must be signed by the parents or guardian.

Should there be any infectious disease in the home, parents should keep their child/children at home until the danger of infection has completely passed.

If a student is likely to be absent due to illness for a prolonged period, the Principal must be informed immediately through an application mentioning the student's name, class, and section.

Any change in address or telephone number of parents or guardians must be intimated to the School administration in writing without delay.

When communicating with the Principal, parents are requested to state clearly in their letter the Class, Section, and full Name of their child/children.

Parents/Guardians are requested not to give money to children unless they receive a written notice from the School. Children should be provided with wholesome tiffin lunch so that they do not buy unwholesome food from outside vendors.

Phone calls for teachers or students during active class hours will not be entertained.

The School, its teachers, and the parents are partners in a continuous educational process for the child. In difficult situations, calm and gentleness should be displayed so that the atmosphere remains cordial, realizing that the net result of recriminations falls ultimately on the child. If relations with School authorities are not cordial, it is advisable for parents to shift their ward to another institution of their choice.

Parents are requested not to allow their wards to come to School in self-driven motor vehicles. If you permit them to do so, you are solely responsible for any mis-happenings.

Electronic gadgets, smartwatches, and cell phones are strictly prohibited on the School premises.

The School does not provide any official transport facilities.
